Last
week grade three students learned about the "Lines Relationship".
In
this new lesson students learned to identify and classify lines as
intersecting, perpendicular, and parallel.
The
session started by triggering students' prior knowledge about the differences
between a line and a line segment. Then, I asked them what will happen if two
lines or lines segments cross each other?
Then,
students modeled intersecting, parallel, and perpendicular lines by their
rulers and pencils. They also gave examples by things found in their daily
lives.
Finally
students watched a flipchart that contained an interesting game about
"Lines Relationship".
Very nice!
