Spelling force
Vowels are a necessity to spell correctly.Through interactive activities students learned how to spell short vowels and how to differentiate between short and long vowels. One of the activities was having students click on a speaker to hear a word and make use of a picture inorder to drag letters up into the boxes or simply write them to spell the word. Then they have to click on the box to reveal the word. Another activity included using the pencil tool to fill in the charts and see how many short vowel words they can make.
This is how we study phonics in class. Join us and have some fun !

Back to school
It's school time again! You're probably feeling excited and maybe a little sad that summer is over. Some kids feel nervous on the first day of school because of all the new things: new teachers, new friends, and maybe even a new school. Luckily, students made many activities that made them comfortable in their new class. At first, students drew their hands and posted them on the door. Next, they played the toilet paper game where one student must take the roll of toilet paper and pull off several squares before handing the toilet paper to another person and asking them to do the same. Once everyone in the room has taken some toilet paper, everyone counts the number of squares that they have and then tells everyone in the room many things about themselves. For example, if someone has three squares, they share three things about themselves. At last, student drew pictures about the school and wrote a paragraph about their school showing their love towards it. Not to mention that they wrote:”We love KSPS school” on a cardboard and posted it with the pictures on the bulletin board.
